Armenian, Iranian Officials Discuss Legal Cooperation

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, today received the delegation headed by the Minister of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Amin Hossein Rahimi.

The delegation also included the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani.

Anna Vardapetyan welcomed the Minister of Justice of the IRI and the members of the delegation to the Prosecutor General's Office of the RA and emphasized the development of cooperation between the sectoral structures of the two countries.

The Minister of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Amin Hossein Rahimi, thanked the Prosecutor General of the RA, Anna Vardapetyan, for the meeting and for her readiness to discuss issues of mutual interest.

The Iranian Minister highly appreciated the efforts of the RA Prosecutor General aimed at combating corruption in Armenia and, in this context, touched upon a number of issues related to the extradition of wanted persons and the provision of legal assistance.
