Armenian Interior Ministry Delegation Attends China Forum

The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia participated in the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in the PRC.

The delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Mkrtchyan participated in the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, which started in the city of Lianyungang, People's Republic of China, from September 17 to 19.

About 2000 representatives from more than 120 countries, international organizations, and educational institutions participated in the forum.

The participants discussed ways to jointly counter the existing challenges in the field of public security, issues related to the development of public security capabilities, and the formation of more effective mechanisms for international cooperation.

For the first time in such a format, thematic sub-forums were held within the framework of the conference, during which modern challenges of transnational crime were addressed, including the illegal circulation of synthetic drugs, the fight against terrorism, fraud on the Internet and cybercrime, security issues related to artificial intelligence and new technologies, ensuring public safety, managing migration flows, and cooperation in the educational sphere.

During the visit, Armen Mkrtchyan had meetings with the heads of law enforcement agencies of various countries, discussing a number of issues related to law enforcement cooperation.

The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also participated in the exhibition of public security technological equipment.

The purpose of the exhibition was to deepen international cooperation in the field of public security technologies, to promote the development of global security capabilities, and to contribute to increasing the recognition of companies in the field.

Within the framework of the exhibition, meetings were also held with a number of reputable organizations that specialize in modern technologies, special-purpose equipment, and armaments. Innovative solutions, scientific and technical equipment controlled by artificial intelligence, and more were presented.

At the end of the forum, Armen Mkrtchyan participated in the official reception organized on behalf of the Minister of Public Security of the PRC, Wang Xiaohong.
