Armenian Independence Day Marked in Beijing

On September 22, the Embassy of Armenia in China organized an official reception at the China World Hotel in Beijing, dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia. The message disseminated by the embassy states that the event was attended by the Executive Director of the "My Step" Foundation, wife of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Anna Hakobyan, officials representing various departments of the PRC, ambassadors of a number of countries accredited in Beijing and heads of international organizations, representatives of the diplomatic corps and various spheres of public life in China, and Armenians living and studying in China.

The guest of honor from the Chinese side at the event was Liu Bin, a member of the Communist Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Congratulating on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the PRC Vahe Gevorgyan noted that in the conditions of transforming international relations, the Republic of Armenia has adopted a foreign policy of diversification and balancing of ties for the strengthening of national statehood, moving forward with the fundamental principles of international relations and the idea of peaceful coexistence in the region and the world.
