Armenian Government Approves 2026 Draft State Budget

The government approved the 2026 state budget draft; it will be sent to the National Assembly for approval.
Budget revenues are planned at 3 trillion 91 billion drams, of which tax revenues will be 2 trillion 972 billion drams.
Budget expenditures are planned at 3 trillion 628 billion drams, of which current expenditures will be 2 trillion 924 billion drams, and capital expenditures will be 704 billion drams.
The budget deficit is planned at 537 billion drams, which is 4.5% of the GDP.
Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan announced that next year the comprehensive health insurance program will be introduced, the program for housing and social support for displaced persons will continue, a new system for family vulnerability will be launched (which was piloted in 2 regions this year), and the cashback program for pensioners for non-cash transactions will continue.
According to Hovhannisyan, for the first time this year, the budget is being presented with a three-year perspective, which includes the expenses for all programs for the next three years.
In next year's budget, the government aims to ensure 7% economic growth.
