On November 21-22, five experts from Armenia will travel to Baku to participate in a round-table discussion. For this purpose, the Armenian government will allocate around 18 million drams to organize a charter flight from Yerevan to Baku and back.
The corresponding decision was adopted at today's government session. It was on the agenda of non-reportable issues.
"Participation in the round-table discussion will activate contacts between representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani civil societies and will form mechanisms for building confidence between the societies of the two states," the justification of the decision states.
On October 21, Azerbaijani experts arrived in Yerevan on a direct flight to participate in a bilateral meeting between representatives of civil society.
Farhad Mammadov, chairman of the Center for South Caucasus Studies, who was among the Azerbaijani experts who visited Armenia, has stated that in the coming months, visits by Azerbaijani experts are expected not only to Yerevan but also to the regions.
Referring to the upcoming visit of Armenian experts to Baku, Mammadov had said that the Armenian delegation will have meetings with both the Azerbaijani working group and high-ranking officials.
