Armenian Cabinet Session: Agreements with Montenegro, CIS on Agenda

6 NOV 2025 07:25
On November 6, the Government of the Republic of Armenia held its regular session, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, with an agenda full of economic, social, and international cooperation issues. The agenda included a total of 44 items, of which 41 were non-reportable and 2 were secret.
Among the non-reportable items, several important initiatives stood out. In particular, the government was to make a decision "On the Alienation of State Property," which involves steps related to the management of assets that are state property.
In the field of international cooperation, the government was to approve the proposal to sign two agreements. One of them concerns the agreement "On Cooperation in the Fields of Education, Science, and Innovation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of Montenegro," with the aim of expanding bilateral ties in the European direction. The other initiative concerns the agreement "On Cooperation of the CIS Member States in the Prevention of the Development of Locust Pests," which is important from the perspective of jointly confronting regional challenges in the agricultural sector.
In the social block, the focus was on the "Implementation of the Universal Health Coverage Program" loan program financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). The government was to designate the state body responsible for the implementation of this large-scale program, thereby advancing the process of reforms in the healthcare sector.
