Armenian Archbishop Ignatius Maloyan Canonized in Vatican City

In the Vatican, under the leadership of Pope Leo XIV of Rome, the canonization ceremony of Archbishop Ignatius Maloyan and six other blesseds took place. Thousands of believers gathered in St. Peter's Square for the event. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was also present. Back on October 7, 2001, Pope John Paul II of Rome had solemnly beatified His Eminence Ignatius.

The document regarding the canonization of Archbishop Maloyan was signed by Pope Francis on March 28 of this year.
