On September 12, the 6th meeting of the special envoys for the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations, Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kılıç, took place in Yerevan, writes Ermenihaber.am.
After the meeting, the foreign ministries of the two countries published information about the agreements reached.
In particular, it is known that the parties have decided to jointly restore the historical Ani Bridge (Silk Road).
According to the Turkish source, the restoration of the bridge, which for centuries was one of the most important crossing points of trade routes, will contribute to both regional tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
It should be recalled that the Ani Bridge was built in the 10th-11th centuries by the Armenian Bagratuni dynasty. The bridge, built on the Akhuryan River, according to experts, was operational until the 16th-17th centuries.
