Armenia, Turkey Agree to Study Gyumri-Kars Railway Reopening

Rubinyan and Serdar Kılıç have agreed that the relevant bodies of the two countries will carry out the necessary technical studies for the restoration and operation of the Gyumri-Kars railway and the power transmission line. This is reported by the RA MFA.
"They also agreed to make efforts to strengthen cooperation in the fields of culture and academia, in particular by creating scholarship opportunities for students of higher educational institutions and through the joint restoration of the historical Ani/Silk Road bridge. The special representatives also agreed to carry out the necessary work aimed at the implementation of flights in different directions by other interested companies from the summer of 2026, which will increase the number of air routes and flights between the two countries," the statement released by the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs particularly stated.
