Armenia to Provide Russia with Data on Russian Accounts

25 AUG 2025 07:23
Armenian banks and brokers are now requiring Russians who have opened accounts to provide data on their tax residency.
This is being done for the automatic exchange of data with Russia, which is expected to begin this year, reports RBC. According to the publication's experts, the first information from Yerevan will be sent to Moscow as early as September 2024.
This means that information about the income and assets of Russian citizens and their companies in Armenia will become visible to the Federal Tax Service of Russia. Experts note that Armenia is the most popular country among Russians from the former USSR for opening foreign accounts.
