Armenia's SRC Collects Over ֏2 Trillion in Taxes in 9 Months

During the January-September period of 2025, the State Revenue Committee (SRC), in cooperation with taxpayers, ensured 2 trillion 13 billion drams in tax revenues and state duties, which is 13.4 billion drams more than the initially set program indicator in the budget, and 7.4 billion drams more than the revised indicator.
The Chairman of the SRC, Eduard Hakobyan, mentioned this during a press conference on October 24. "If we talk about the dynamics compared to last year, we have about a 14% increase; 246 billion drams more were collected than in the nine months of last year. We have a prepayment of taxes ahead of economic activity, and here, in parallel with our economic factors, the increase in the efficiency of administration, which is carried out by the SRC, has a significant impact," he said.
Referring to the question of what influenced such indicators, the SRC Chairman first singled out the human-centered work, and in second place, he considers the improvement of administration.
"With all our tools, an additional tax liability of about 104 billion drams was recorded or clarified during inspections, but what is essential here is not that number, but what is happening in its structure. I should note that we are improving the role of analytical tools, which means non-contact administration with taxpayers. Thus, for example, in the nine months, as a result of inaccuracies found with the analytical toolkit, taxpayers additionally declared about 57 billion drams, which is about 9% more than last year's indicator. The other group of factors is the increase in the effectiveness of the fight against the shadow economy. First, the turnover of transactions accompanied by settlement documents increased by 15%, and their number of issuance by 17%. The number of non-cash payments in the retail trade and services sector increased by 55%, and the amount by 32%," noted SRC Chairman Eduard Hakobyan.
