Armenia's SRC, French Agency Discuss Blogger Taxation

The Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), Eduard Hakobyan, hosted the newly appointed program manager of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Armenia, Marine Legarde.

The SRC Chairman highly appreciated the achievements already made within the framework of cooperation with the AFD and expressed hope that the active collaboration will continue.

The needs for new technical assistance aimed at improving tax and customs administration and possible future directions of cooperation were discussed. The importance of the continuity of support provided for the improvement of gambling activities, the study of the best international practices in the taxation of cryptocurrencies and bloggers, capacity building in the fight against smuggling, as well as the introduction of innovative technologies (AI, Chatbot) to improve taxpayer services were highlighted.

Reference was also made to the possible upcoming directions of Policy-Based Lending, including within the framework of the new tax and customs strategies of the SRC.

During the meeting, the work carried out to inform taxpayers was also presented, including the measures taken within the framework of the annual income declaration process.
