Shooting in Spitak, Armenia: 7 People Arrested

On the evening of October 14, shots were fired in the town of Spitak, Lori province. A dispute and brawl that arose between a group of individuals ended with the arrest of 7 people. The incident took place near the house of former Member of Parliament, businessman Arkadi Hambardzumyan.

Around 8:30 PM, the police received operational information that a dispute had occurred in Spitak, during which shots were fired. According to Shamshyan.com, "the dispute, brawl, and shooting took place" near the house of the former MP, known to the public as "Derzhavayi Arkad," Arkadi Hambardzumyan.

Numerous police units arrived at the scene and arrested 7 individuals on suspicion of hooliganism. One of the detainees is the son of Arkadi Hambardzumyan himself.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated on the fact in the Spitak department of the Lori regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee. The preliminary investigation is ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
