Armenia Sees 44,000-Vehicle Increase in One Year

There are 953,965 vehicles registered in Armenia, of which 343,220 are in Yerevan. In the same period last year, the number of registered cars in the RA was 909,326, and in Yerevan - 331,314.

This was announced by the head of the transport department of the Yerevan Municipality, Vazgen Harutyunyan, noting that in the last year the number of vehicles in the RA has increased by 44,639, and in Yerevan by 11,906.

The topic was discussed in the context of easing traffic and reducing congestion in Yerevan.

In Yerevan, they plan to achieve this by adding lanes for public transport, as well as by developing the culture of using bicycles.
