Russia's ambassador has been summoned to the RA MFA

In response to Radar Armenia's question, "Apart from the recent public reference by RA Foreign Minister Mirzoyan, has the Armenian side expressed any attitude regarding them?", the RA MFA noted that the department has also expressed dissatisfaction through diplomatic channels: the Russian ambassador in Yerevan was summoned to the MFA, a note was handed to him.

"The note stated that the comments and statements of individual deputies of the Russian State Duma regarding the legal actions of the RA law enforcement bodies to prevent a coup d'état attempt cause not only surprise but also indignation. According to those statements, the arrest of the persons planning a coup d'état is considered 'another unfriendly step by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.' Accordingly, such statements are not only absurd, as it is unclear how and why the prevention of a coup d'état is considered an unfriendly step, but also a gross interference in the internal affairs of the RA," the note says in particular.

The Ministry has called on its Russian partners to take immediate and effective measures to stop the aforementioned unfriendly manifestations towards the Republic of Armenia.
