Armenia November Weather: Colder Temps, Fog Expected

The "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" has presented the climatic characteristics and monthly forecast for November. The number of clear days significantly decreases (5-6 days). In November, the average monthly temperature in the republic is 1.5°C.

The first ten days of November are relatively warm (ten-day average temperature is 4°C), the average temperature of the third ten-day period in the republic is negative at -0.5°C. At the end of the second ten-day period, in separate mountainous regions, the temperature drops below 0°C, which marks the beginning of winter.

The highest average monthly temperature is recorded in Meghri at 9.5°C; it is also high in the northeast (Bagratashen: 6.9°C, Ijevan: 7.1°C), and in the Ararat plain (Yerevan 6.5°C, Armavir 5.6°C). The maximum temperature in these regions can reach up to 22-30°C. The average monthly temperature is low in regions above 2000m (Ashotsk: -1.8°C), the minimum temperature in separate mountainous regions reaches -27°C (Ashotsk, Gavar, Sisian), in Armavir -17°C, in Meghri -7°C.

The amount of precipitation is less compared to October and amounts to 41mm. In the middle of the month, a stable snow cover forms in the high mountainous regions of the republic (snow layer height reaches 5-10cm). In November, the number of foggy days sharply increases, especially in mountain passes: 25 days. Fog is most often observed in the morning hours.
