Armenia's National Puppet Theater Celebrates 90th Anniversary

The Hovhannes Tumanyan National Puppet Theater celebrated its 90th anniversary with a solemn ceremony.

The event was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, Deputy Minister of ESCS Daniel Danielyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Sisak Gabrielyan, Director of the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran Ara Khzmalyan, cultural figures, theater partners, and art lovers.

Deputy Minister of ESCS Daniel Danielyan delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing that the Puppet Theater is a theater for everyone, not just a certain segment of society. He also praised the theater's activities in decentralizing culture, making this art form accessible to children in the regions.

During the event, the guests were presented with the theater's 90-year historical path, with special attention paid to the significant achievements of the last decade, creative successes, and the expansion of international cooperation.

At the end of the evening, the theater's future development programs and vision were presented, which aim to ensure the continuous creation of high-quality art, the implementation of new productions, and the expansion of international recognition.

At the event, the theater presented symbolic "Tiknikon" awards to the structures that have supported the theater for years: "Tiknikon" awards were given to the RA Government and the Ministry of ESCS.
