Armenian MIA, US Embassy to Deepen Police Cooperation

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to the RA, Kristina Kvien.

According to the message released by the Ministry, Ambassador Kvien noted that the USA highly appreciates the strategic relations formed between Armenia and the United States.

She emphasized the effective cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RA and the US Embassy.

The parties highlighted the Washington meetings on August 8, which became the basis for new directions of RA-US strategic cooperation.

During the meeting, new directions of cooperation and joint programs were discussed, including measures aimed at the development of the Patrol Service, the Criminal Police, the Police Guard, and the MIA educational complex.

The parties also touched upon the steps to be taken in the direction of creating a cyber laboratory and training the officers of the Police Guard.
