Armenia and Iran to Create Simplified Customs Corridor

Armenia and Iran intend to create a simplified customs corridor, which will facilitate trade between the two countries. The Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the RA, Eduard Hakobyan, announced this.

According to him, the parties are currently conducting active negotiations on the conclusion of a relevant agreement, which is planned to be finalized in the near future.

At the same time, Hakobyan noted that Armenia is also expanding cooperation with the US to modernize the customs system. "Cooperation with the US is being actively promoted in the direction of acquiring equipment for the customs system, as well as introducing some monitoring systems," the SRC Chairman emphasized.
