As a follow-up to the discussions held on November 14, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, at the suggestion of India's Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, visited the Andhra Pradesh Medical Technology Zone on November 15. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
It is one of the world's largest manufacturing clusters for medical technologies, where more than 100 companies are involved in the research, testing, and production of advanced medical equipment. During the tour, Minister Papoyan was introduced to the state-of-the-art production and research infrastructures, including specialized laboratories, testing centers, and warehouse complexes. The Minister presented Armenia's free economic zones and emphasized that there are plans to create industrial zones in the RA with the necessary infrastructure for various sectors.
The Minister invited the Indian company to consider the possibilities of investing in the planned industrial zones in Armenia, which will create favorable conditions through the application of state support tools, tax incentives, as well as other facilitating mechanisms that will allow products to be presented on the international market at competitive prices.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the RA to the Republic of India, Vahagn Afyan, also participated in the tour.
