"The expansion of military-technical ties and the diversification of armaments are among the main directions of our security architecture. It is with this logic that we continue the work aimed at modernizing the armament of the armed forces and cooperation with new partners." Suren Papikyan stated this in the National Assembly, adding that the local military industry is also in the spotlight.
"In 2022, we had contracts with local military-industrial companies worth approximately 5.5 billion drams. Subsequently, as a result of three-year contracts, that number has today become 171 billion AMD," noted the Minister of Defense.
