Armenia's Humanitarian Aid Drops by 75% in First Half-Year

In the first half of this year, Armenia received $17 million 98.4 thousand in humanitarian aid, which is a 75 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.
This is evidenced by the data published by the Statistical Committee. Armenia received the most humanitarian aid from the United States: 26.7 percent of the total. Moreover, compared to the first half of 2024, the volume has increased by more than 11 percent.
China is in second place in terms of the volume of humanitarian aid sent to Armenia, with $2 million 528.5 thousand, which is 14.8 percent of the humanitarian aid received this year, and the increase compared to the same period last year is 260 percent.
In third place in terms of the volume of aid sent is Italy, with a figure of $1 million 815.5 thousand. It accounted for 10.6 percent of the total. Compared to the same period last year, the aid sent from Italy increased by 25.5 percent.
In January-June, the most sent items to Armenia in the form of humanitarian aid were products of the chemical and related industries, amounting to $9 million 534.4 thousand, followed by machinery, equipment, and mechanisms, at $1 million 867.6 thousand.
The third group of goods is land, air, and water transport vehicles, with a volume of $1 million 467.3 thousand.
