Armenian Ombudsman, ICRC Discuss Rights of POWs and Missing

On September 3, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Anahit Manasyan, received the head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Armenia, Dafne Mare.

The Office of the Human Rights Defender reports that the Defender highly appreciated the cooperation established between the ICRC in Armenia and the Human Rights Defender's institution, emphasizing the importance of the work carried out by the organization and its continuity.

During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed, including the rights of prisoners, missing persons, and their families. Reference was made to joint programs implemented in the field of international humanitarian law.

In her turn, Dafne Mare thanked the Defender for the reception and reaffirmed the ICRC's commitment to continuing cooperation.
