A high temperature background and fire-risk situation are being maintained in Armenia. The Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center warns that due to an influx of tropical hot air, high temperatures are expected on July 24 in the Ararat plain, the valleys of Syunik, and Yerevan. Between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, temperatures will reach +38 to +40 degrees Celsius.
In these areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor, a high-class fire hazard is expected for the next five days. On the afternoon of July 24 and on July 27, weather without precipitation is expected. On the afternoons of July 25, 28-29, and on the night and afternoon of July 26, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some regions, with possible hail.
