Armenia, Germany Hold Bilateral Defense Consultations

On October 28-29, bilateral defense consultations between the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Republic of Germany were held at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defence, co-chaired by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defence Policy and International Cooperation Department of the RA MoD, and Colonel Christian Schmidt, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the FRG Ministry of Defence.
During the consultations, the results of the RA-FRG defense cooperation for 2025 were discussed and summarized, and the programs for 2026 were agreed upon.
The parties exchanged views on issues related to international and regional security, as well as the ongoing reforms in the defense departments of the two countries.
The development of cooperation in multilateral formats within the framework of NATO and the EU was mutually emphasized.
As a result of the consultations, agreements were reached to expand cooperation in the defense sector in a number of areas.
