Armenia, Georgia to Boost Education and Science Cooperation

Today, the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Zhanna Andreasyan, received the delegation headed by the Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs of the Parliament of Georgia, Mariam Lashkhi. The Deputy Minister of ESCS, Artur Martirosyan, was also present at the meeting.
Welcoming Mariam Lashkhi and the members of the delegation, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized the close and effective cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities of the two countries, as well as the continuous development of the friendly relations established between Armenia and Georgia.
The Chairperson of the Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Mariam Lashkhi, thanked for the warm reception and emphasized the great potential for sectoral cooperation between the two countries. She proposed to consider the expansion of ties, especially in the field of science, by jointly implementing international educational and research programs, including within the framework of "Erasmus+" and "Horizon Europe."
The ESCS Minister also emphasized the importance of holding youth forums in Armenia and Georgia, noting that they contribute to the strengthening of dialogue and cooperation between the youth of the two countries, the implementation of new initiatives, and the deepening of friendly ties.
During the meeting, other issues of bilateral interest were also discussed.
