On August 21, regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and Georgia were held in Yerevan, led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the RA, Vahan Kostanyan, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia. This is reported by the RA MFA.
The parties emphasized the continuous deepening of the strategic partnership relations between the two countries and highlighted the importance of high-level mutual visits and contacts between Armenia and Georgia. Reference was made to bilateral economic cooperation, a wide range of issues related to the sectors of tourism, transport, energy, trade, and investments, the strengthening of cultural and educational ties, cooperation in international organizations, and the expansion of the legal-contractual field.
The parties also discussed issues related to regional peace and cooperation, in the context of which Vahan Kostanyan informed his counterpart about the results of the meeting of the leaders of the RA, the US, and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8.
