Armenia to Offer Expedited Driving Test Retakes for a Fee

Starting from September 1, changes are planned in the process of retaking driving exams. Citizens will have the opportunity to retake the driving license exam the day after a first failure, for an additional fee, with online registration. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports this.

Before the change, in case of a negative result, a citizen could re-register for the exam after 1 week. Taking into account citizens' applications and suggestions, it is planned to introduce expedited services. In case of a first failure, a person can participate in the exam out of turn:

the next day, for a fee of 45,000 AMD,

on the third day, for a fee of 30,000 AMD.

If a person fails for the second or any subsequent time, instead of the previous 30-day period, they can use the expedited services within the following new terms:

on the seventh day, for a fee of 45,000 AMD,

on the fourteenth day, for a fee of 30,000 AMD.

It should also be noted that by another regulation, also starting from September 1, when registering a vehicle, it will be possible to receive the registration certificate by postal delivery.
