Armenia and Iran to Elevate Ties to Strategic Partnership

Armenia and Iran have agreed to raise relations to the level of a strategic partnership. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia announced this during a press statement with the President of Iran.

Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that the Iranian President's visit will give a new impetus and quality to the friendly relations between the two countries.

"We both agreed that the time has come to work on raising the relations between our countries to the level of a strategic partnership," the Prime Minister said.

Later, the Iranian Foreign Minister provided additional details on the topic. An agreement has been reached between Armenia and Iran that a document on comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries will be signed soon, Abbas Araghchi announced.
