On October 7, in Paris, at the headquarters of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), the Personal Representative of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador Arman Khachatryan, presented his letter of credence to the Secretary-General of the OIF, Louise Mushikiwabo. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the private conversation that followed the presentation of the letter of credence, Ambassador Khachatryan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment, undertaken with its membership in the OIF, to contribute to the collective efforts aimed at promoting peace, solidarity, human rights, and other universal values.
The Ambassador emphasized the effective cooperation established between Armenia and the OIF, noting with satisfaction that these relations have been continuously developing over the years.
Both sides touched upon the 10th Francophonie Games to be held in Armenia in 2027 as an important milestone summarizing the relations between Armenia and the OIF. In this context, Ambassador Khachatryan reaffirmed Armenia's determination to hold the games in line with high international standards.
At the request of the Secretary-General, Arman Khachatryan presented in detail the ongoing efforts by Armenia towards establishing peace in the South Caucasus, referring in particular to the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the International Organization of La Francophonie and personally to the OIF Secretary-General Louise Mushikiwabo for her special attention to Armenia and for the important support shown for the efforts aimed at establishing peace in the region.
Congratulating Ambassador Khachatryan, Louise Mushikiwabo wished him effective activity for the benefit of Armenia and the OIF, as well as for the further development of the strong ties of friendship and cooperation established between Armenia and other member countries within the framework of the latter.
