Lawyers move to end Archbishop Ajapahyan's detention

The lawyers of Archbishop Mikayel have submitted a motion to the prosecutor to cancel or change the measure of restraint. The lawyers believe that there are all the grounds to change their client's measure of restraint, or rather, that there are no grounds to continue keeping him in custody.

"The key understanding should be that the grounds and necessity for detention have unequivocally ceased to exist, therefore every extra minute spent in custody will not solve the criminal procedural issue characteristic of the measure of restraint," is stated in the announcement spread by Archbishop Ajapahyan's lawyers.
