Aram Ghazaryan appointed Chief of Police - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs

By a decision of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan dated June 3, 2025, Aram Ghazaryan has been appointed to the position of Chief of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports this.
So who is the new Chief of Police? From biology teacher to Chief of Police.
Aram Ghazaryan began his career path as a teacher.
- From 1994-1999, he worked at the Varagavan secondary school in Tavush province as a chemistry and biology teacher.
- From 2000-2001, he was the scientific secretary of Lorva International University.
- In 2001, he began his career in the police system.
- From 2001-2003, he was an inspector for juvenile affairs at the Vanadzor department of internal affairs.
- For about 15 years, he held various positions in the system, being appointed Chief of the Lori Provincial Department of the Police in 2016, and Chief of the Gegharkunik Provincial Department in 2019.
- From 2019-2020, he was in the personnel reserve of the RA Police.
- In 2020, he was appointed Chief of the Kotayk division of the Kotayk Provincial Department.
- From December 3, 2020, he was the Chief of the Shirak Provincial Department of the RA Police.
- In June 2023, he was appointed General Director of "Yerevan TPP" CJSC.
- In January 2024, he was appointed Governor of Lori province. He worked in that position for about a year and a half.
- On June 2, 2025, he resigned from the position of governor and a few hours later was appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Chief of Police.
