Aramazd Ghalamkaryan Appointed New Head of Water Committee

Aramazd Ghalamkaryan has been appointed chairman of the Water Committee. The corresponding decision was signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. "Guided by Article 9, Part 7 of the Law 'On Public Service,' to appoint Aramazd Ghalamkaryan as chairman of the Water Committee," the decision states. He is an economist by profession, a former member of the board of the Armenian National Congress.

Ghalamkaryan graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Yerevan State University, then the American University of Armenia. He has a master's degree in political science.

Previously, he worked at the UN Development Program, Armeconombank, and the "World Vision Armenia" organization as a marketing manager.

It should be recalled that the former chairman of the Water Committee, Karen Sedrakyan, was dismissed from his post on September 11. He was appointed to that position in May 2025 and worked for only 4 months.
