Aliyev Receives UK Minister Stephen Doughty in Baku

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the UK Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories, Stephen Doughty. He conveyed congratulations on the agreements reached in Washington regarding the normalization of relations with Armenia and the peace agenda, as well as on the successful hosting of COP29.

The sides discussed the development of ties between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom, including in economy, trade, education, information and communication technologies, and energy. The more than 30-year cooperation with bp was particularly emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, the British minister presented Aliyev with a souvenir.
