Aliyev calls Iran's official stance 'reasonable and positive'

Aliyev distinguishes between Iran's official, "very reasonable and positive" position, expressed by the president and the foreign minister, and the "fake narratives" spread by some "so-called advisors," which Baku completely ignores.
"As for Iran's official position on the new developments, we consider it very reasonable and very positive. By saying 'official position,' I mean the position of the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. This is the official position," Aliyev noted, adding that he does not take seriously the concerns voiced by the team of Iran's spiritual leader.
"It has no meaning for us because our interstate relations are relations between governments, presidents, foreign ministers. ... The President's position is absolutely reasonable and is based on the fact that the Zangezur corridor does not pose any threat to Iran," the President of Azerbaijan noted.
The key thesis of the conversation was to dispel concerns about the so-called "Zangezur corridor." Aliyev called the news that Azerbaijan intends to occupy Syunik or close the Armenian-Iranian border an "absolute lie."
As evidence of constructive cooperation, he mentioned the agreement reached with Iran to build an alternative route through Iranian territory, the "Arax corridor," in conditions where the corridor is blocked by Armenia.
This, according to him, confirms that the so-called "Zangezur corridor" is not a threat to Iran, and the relations between the two countries are based on mutual understanding.
