Aliyev Details Planned Actions for 'Sovereignty Restoration'

From November 2020 to September 19, 2023, the main goal before us was the complete restoration of our country's sovereignty, Ilham Aliyev announced during a meeting with settlers in the occupied Artsakh city of Karvachar.

"The elimination of the so-called 'Lachin corridor' and its transformation into the Lachin-Khankendi road, as well as the establishment of a checkpoint on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Lachin direction, and at the same time the capture of important strategic points from November 2020 to September 2023, the 'Farrukh', 'Girkhgiz', 'Saribaba' operations—all of this is our glorious history and was part of our purposeful policy," Aliyev listed, inadvertently confessing that Baku had planned to close the corridor defined by the agreement and to violate the condition of keeping the line of contact inviolable.

Added to that is the 9-month blockade of Artsakh as a continuation.
