Armenian Parliament Speaker Meets New UK Ambassador

On October 29, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia, Alexandra Pamela Cowley.

Congratulating the Ambassador on assuming her post, Alen Simonyan expressed hope that the newly appointed ambassador would contribute to the development and deepening of multi-sectoral relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to bilateral relations and the development of inter-parliamentary ties, as well as touched upon regional developments and the peace process established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
