Afghan Teen Survives Flight to Delhi in Wheel Well
23 SEP 2025 09:43
An Afghan teenager hid in the wheel well of an airplane, flew for 94 minutes from Kabul to Delhi, and survived. The Indian Express writes about this. The 13-year-old boy wanted to go to Iran from Kabul, for which he came to the airport and hid in the compartment near the rear wheels of the plane. He only had a "small red audio speaker" with him. It turned out that the plane in which the boy hid was heading to Delhi, not Tehran.
The flight lasted more than 90 minutes, and the boy survived. He was discovered by employees of Indira Gandhi International Airport. According to security personnel, the boy was noticed at the airport at 10:20 in the morning. In the evening, the teenager was sent back to Kabul.
At an altitude of 10-11 km, where passenger planes usually fly, the air temperature drops to -60 °C. There is also a lack of oxygen at that altitude.
It should be recalled that a similar case was also recorded in 2023. A man was found in the wheel well of a passenger plane that arrived in Paris from Algiers. He was alive but in serious condition.
