9 People Poisoned in Armavir; Inspections Underway

Today, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) of the RA Ministry of Health received a report that on October 9, between 22:00 and 23:00, 9 citizens applied to the Armavir medical center with a preliminary diagnosis of food toxicoinfection. 4 of the affected were hospitalized, and 5 received outpatient treatment. This is reported by the FSIS (Food Safety Inspectorate).

"Inspectors from the rapid response department of the RA Food Safety Inspectorate Body, having clarified that they had eaten 'lahmajo' purchased from a public food facility (ponchikanots) at 32/1 Hanrapetutyan Street in Armavir city and 'ponchik' purchased from the 'Ringo' food point at 14 Hanrapetutyan Street, have undertaken control measures.

Samples were taken from the food products available at the said public food points and sent for laboratory examination.

The results will be published, and based on them, appropriate additional actions will be taken," the statement said.
