Under the supervision of the Department of Crimes against Economic Activity of the General Prosecutor's Office, in one of the criminal proceedings being investigated by the Investigative Committee, factual data have been obtained that the de facto head of four individual entrepreneurs and an LLC engaged in wholesale and retail trade, acting as part of a group, with the aim of not paying taxes in particularly large amounts, concealed the tax object of the said individual entrepreneurs and the LLC during the years 2023-2024 and included distorted data in the tax calculations submitted to the tax authority.
"Taking into account that there were sufficient facts in the criminal proceeding testifying to the commission of the crime, on March 25, 2025, the prosecutor made a decision to initiate a public criminal prosecution against the de facto head of the individual entrepreneurs and the LLC under Article 290, Part 3, Clauses 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code (non-payment of taxes in particularly large amounts by a group of persons with a preliminary agreement).
On September 10, 2025, as a result of prosecutorial influence, 80 million drams of the damage caused to the state were recovered.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing," the statement said.
