366 Children in Armenian Orphanages, Most with Disabilities

Currently, there are 366 minors in orphanages in Armenia, the vast majority of whom have disabilities. The details were announced from the rostrum of the National Assembly by the Acting Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the RA,
Tatevik Stepanyan, noting that the vast majority of them are children with severe and multiple disabilities. The dynamics of adoptions are almost unchanged.
"On average, 25 children are adopted. International adoptions are 1 or 2," Stepanyan reported, adding that mainly children with certain health problems go for international adoption.
