24 JUN 2025 10:38
31-year-old Belarusian Vladimir Vitkov, at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport in the baggage claim area, suddenly approached an Afghan family arriving from Kabul, picked up one-and-a-half-year-old Mohammad Afzal and threw him headfirst to the floor.
According to witnesses, the man had no reason for the aggression. Vitkov was arrested.
The child was urgently hospitalized and is now in a coma. He was diagnosed with spinal and skull fractures.
During a medical examination, it was found that Vitkov was under the influence of drugs: traces of cannabis were found in his blood. Later, law enforcement showed the strange behavior of the detainee. He cannot stand straight, speak clearly, and makes chaotic hand movements.
