Judge Naira Grigoryan, Manvel Grigoryan's Daughter, Suspended

The powers of Naira Grigoryan, the judge daughter of Manvel Grigoryan, have been suspended. This was reported by the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Armenia. The Prosecutor's Office had applied to the Supreme Judicial Council with a motion to initiate public criminal prosecution against Judge Grigoryan, which was granted.
"On November 6 and 7, 2025, in closed sessions, based on the decision of the Supreme Judicial Council No. SJC-80-V-Q-5 of November 7, 2025, to grant the motion No. 1/12-12-25 submitted by the Prosecutor General on November 6, 2025, 'On giving consent to initiate public criminal prosecution against Judge Naira Manveli Grigoryan of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Armavir Marz,' and guided by Part 1 of Article 94, Part 1 of Article 165 of the 'Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia' constitutional law, and by point 86 of Annex 1 of the Supreme Judicial Council's decision No. SJC-68-N-15 of October 22, 2020, the Supreme Judicial Council decides to suspend the powers of Judge Naira Grigoryan of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Armavir Marz until the end of the criminal proceedings," the SJC decision states.
