EU Hands Over Visa Liberalization Action Plan to Armenia

During his visit to Armenia on November 5, the Deputy Director-General of the European Commission for Migration and Home Affairs, Johannes Luchner, handed over the RA-EU Visa Liberalization Action Plan to the senior official for the Armenian side on the visa liberalization dialogue, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan.
The handover ceremony took place in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan.
Upon receiving the document, the senior official for the Armenian side on the visa liberalization dialogue, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan, noted that it is an important stage of the partnership between Armenia and the European Union and has already generated wide public attention and expectations.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the progress made in this direction to date and stated that the official handover of the EU Visa Liberalization Action Plan is a testament to the real bilateral efforts.
The commitment of the Armenian side to the implementation of the measures envisaged by the plan was reaffirmed, the ultimate result of which is to ensure dignified, safe, and easy travel opportunities for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union.
After the event, Luchner and Sargsyan held a press conference and answered journalists' questions.
