Armenia, Mongolia Sign Visa Waiver Protocol in New York

On September 24 in New York, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg. The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of expanding bilateral relations and implementing specific initiatives in areas of mutual interest.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Batmunkh Battsetseg signed a protocol on amending the agreement "between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on exemption from the visa requirement for persons holding diplomatic and official passports."

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the readiness and prerequisites for the further expansion of the bilateral legal and contractual field and the maximum realization of the potential for sectoral cooperation.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Mongolia exchanged views on issues of interaction on multilateral platforms, including within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
