On July 24, an An-24 plane crashed in the Amur region of Russia. Communication with the aircraft was lost, and then a search began. Before long, the crashed plane was discovered on a mountainside 15 km from Tynda, in a hard-to-reach area.
According to preliminary information, there were 49 people on board: 43 passengers and 6 crew members. Among the passengers were five children. An anonymous source in the emergency services told TASS that, according to preliminary data, all individuals have died. Pilot error is being considered as a preliminary version of the crash.
The rescuers' helicopter is still unable to land at the crash site, as it is a difficult-to-reach terrain, a mountainside. A decision has been made to involve ground rescue teams to work at the disaster site. A fire broke out at the crash site.
